My name is Kristine and I’m a mostly self-taught baker living in Montana. My love for baking started when I was a kid watching my Dad make cookies. I was absolutely fascinated by the process and loved when he would let me help out. As I got a little older, I started baking on my own and my passion for it has only grown over the years. I’m constantly reading new cookbooks and love spending time in the kitchen perfecting and tweaking new recipes.
When I was 22, my love for baking led me to a job managing an incredible bakery in LA. Even though I loved working at the bakery, I eventually decided to leave my job to get a Master’s Degree at the London School of Economics. Following grad school, I worked two different jobs, but neither fueled my passion the way baking did. In 2012 I moved to Montana hoping for better career opportunities, but instead found myself unemployed and struggling to get a job. After a year of unemployment and stubbornly telling people I didn’t want to work in food again, I realized you can’t hide from what you love and decided to start my own baking business, The Earnest Baker.
Dios MIO! A friend sent me a box of your goodies. Wow! Some of the best cookies I’ve ever eaten. And gluten free! Good work~

Perfect name…can’t wait to sample..do you deliver?
The more taste testers the better! I will definitely send you some baked goods. They might not look as pretty when they get to you – but they’ll still taste good at least.
